Graduation Party for Tao, Chinese Restaurant, May 5, 2012

On May 5, 2012, the Bahá’ís of Statesboro hosted a graduation luncheon party for Tao Yang and a few of his friends at the Chow Time Chinese Restaurant. Please click below for more information and for photos of the event.

At the luncheon party, we wished Tao a happy graduation from Georgia Southern University and a fond farewell as he gets ready to depart for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to begin his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. In remembrance of his passionate singing and guitar playing at Baha’i meetings, we gave him “happy nut” pistachios to bless him with good fortune. We also wished Jessica, Tao’s Chinese friend, a happy graduation for her Master’s degree and the beginning of her doctoral program in the College of Public Health at Georgia Southern University. Everyone enjoyed the warm fellowship, the wonderful Chinese food, and Jessica’s colorful tennis shoes (see last photo). We hope and pray that Tao and Jessica will have great success in the coming year as they begin their doctoral studies. "... associate with all the peoples and kindreds of the earth with joy and radiance, inasmuch as consorting with people hath promoted and will continue to promote unity and concord." Bahá'u'lláh
