Bahá’í Feast, Felzien’s Home, June 4, 2013

On June 4, 2013, Bahá’ís of Statesboro and friends gathered at Greg and Kate Felzien’s home for the celebration of the Bahá’í Feast of Light. Please click below for a description and photos of the event.

Every 19 days, Bahá’ís all over the world celebrate a Bahá’í Spiritual Feast named after an attribute of God such as “light,” “mercy,” or “glory.” The spiritual feast consists of three parts: devotional readings, community business, and fellowship. During the fellowship part of the feast, we celebrated the first birthday of Aishwarya, the daughter of Rosa and Hari Madray. We welcome the Madray family from Florida to the Statesboro Bahá’í community. Special thanks are extended to Greg and Kate Fezien for hosting the feast in their elegant home. Also, we welcome Greg as a newly registered Bahá’í of Statesboro. According to Bahá’u’lláh, the purpose of the feast is “to bind your hearts together.” This Feast of Light opened our spiritual eyes and hearts and brought our Bahá’í community together in unity.
