On September 16, 2011, the Bahá'í Faith Community of Statesboro, with the assistance of Barbara Rudolph and Nazrin Zaer, Savannah Bahá’ís, hosted the International Conversation Hour Luncheon in Russell Union Ballroom at Georgia Southern University. Special thanks are extended to Rachida Toure, an African student, for taking photos of the event. Please click below for photos of the event.
Over 175 international students, staff, and faculty from all over the world attended the luncheon. Ten students won prizes for having the highest scores on the Brain Teaser Quiz over world geography and current events. This joyful celebration of diverse cultures demonstrated a fundamental Bahá'í teaching, "The world is but one country and mankind its citizens." –Bahá'u'lláh
