On October 20, 2010, Statesboro Bahá’ís and friends celebrated the Birth of the Báb Holy Day at Nancy Hutcheon’s home. Please click below for more information and photos of the event.
Similar to John the Baptist, the Báb was the herald of a new messenger of God, Bahá’u’lláh, the founder of the Bahá’í Faith. We listened to Bahá’í inspired music and recited prayers by the Báb, including the Remover of Difficulties Prayer: “Is there any Remover of difficulties save God? Say: Praised be God! He is God! All are His servants, and all abide by His bidding!” Visitors from six nationalities participated, including Brazil, China, Morocco, Mexico, Peru, and the United States. We concluded the celebration with tasty desserts and fellowship.
