On May 22, 2009, the Bahais of Statesboro and their guests celebrated the "Declaration of the Bab" holy day at the China Super Buffet. There were 25 attendees representing diverse cultural backgrounds at the dinner celebration. We extend a special thanks to our singers and musicians: Rosa San Juan, Laura Gonzales, Erica Angeles, Hilda Gonzales, and Joe Goldstein. In 1844, the Bab declared his mission to prepare humankind for the coming of the Messenger of God, Baha'u'llah, who is founder of the Bahai Faith. "Purge your hearts of worldly desires, and let angelic virtues be your adorning...The time is come when naught but the purest motive, supported by deeds of stainless purity, can ascend to the throne of the Most High and be acceptable unto Him..."
